#OurNeighbours touring events with S.M.a.S.H society to tackle social isolation and loneliness over Christmas

Written by S.M.a.S.H Society

This winter, the S.M.a.S.H Society held Christmas get togethers across West Yorkshire and Harrogate, helping to make this time of year easier for those who sometimes struggle. Six events were held to help anyone feeling isolated, stressed, anxious or just ‘fed up’.

S.M.a.S.H society said: “The days between Christmas and New Year can be difficult at the best of times, particularly if you’re feeling isolated and lonely. This may lead us to calling on the Emergency Services or our Primary Care Teams because we feel like we cannot carry on. We’re going to tackle that. It’s our aim to come together as a community, in your community, to help each other get through these potentially difficult times.”
