Bird feeder workshops encourage the community to connect with their neighbours

The Village Community Partnership held their first bird feeder making workshop at Sunnybank Medical Centre. The workshop was run in partnership with local environmental charity Groundwork. The session was open to all ages and is the first in a series of bird feeding activities which will help encourage the community to connect with their neighbours.
The group made colourful bird feeders from recycled materials which will be given to patients who might not get out much and spend a lot of time indoors, the feeders will be topped up regularly by volunteers.
A further session making bird boxes is planned for early New Year 2020!
