Looking out for our neighboursWe recently moved into a new house and we’re lucky enough to have a garden – which we’ve never had before! The thing is, we don’t have any garden toys yet for my little boy, so I’ve been trying to keep him busy with things like painting stones and digging in the mud. But then our new neighbour knocked on our door and offered us a slide their children have grown out of using.
It was such a generous thing to do. It didn’t cost them a penny but it’s made my little boy’s year.
And now, I’ve made a connection with someone in my neighbourhood – which feels great as we don’t know many people in the area. It’s so nice to know that there are people around who look out for each other.
