Looking out for our neighbours
Earlier this month our campaign was covered by the Harrogate Advertiser in a feature on the importance of volunteering and giving back to your local community.
The article – written by Karen Weaver, Chief Executive of Harrogate and Ripon Centres for Voluntary Service – discussed a number of initiatives that are supporting people across the local area to keep themselves and others happy and healthy. Karen highlighted the work ‘Looking out for our neighbours’ is doing to improve loneliness and social isolation across West Yorkshire and Harrogate and how an individual act of kindness can make a huge difference and be the start of building a more friendly street, neighbourhood and community for everyone.
