“The Looking out for our neighbours campaign inspired us to help those who are less fortunate at Christmas”

At Magpie, we felt it was important to support those who may experience feelings of loneliness and isolation, that are often intensified for people during the festive season. In 2019, we decided to donate our Christmas card budget to St Vincent’s Support Centre in Leeds, inspired by the Looking out for our neighbours campaign. Our contribution went towards providing 122 Christmas lunches to people who are lonely, homeless, or who were alone at Christmas. The Centre also supported 886 people across Leeds through their other activities including food parcels and hampers.
